What is perform!benchmark?
Perform!benchmark™ is a web based benchmarking solution developed specifically for key back office operations. The benchmark studies generate measures that assess the overall health of operations and assist organisations with change management, innovation and continuous improvement.

How long does the process take?
The online tool can be completed in two simple steps and results can be available in a matter of days.

Who should complete the surveys?
It is more beneficial to involve those staff members with a good overview of the processes and their stage of maturity. It may also be useful to involve individual specialist staff in addressing some of the more technical issues.

What type of information is needed to complete the process performance section of the data capture questionnaire?
The information required includes:

  • Annual Revenue and Total Costs.
  • Total Full Time Equivalent Staff working in the organisation.
  • Full Time Equivalents (FTE) working on the process.
  • Key Transaction volumes (eg number of invoices) split into manual and automated.
  • Costs applicable to the process – broken down by salary related, direct on-cost, IT cost, outsourcing cost, corporate overhead etc.
  • Percentage estimates of the non-value add, errors and defects and SLA performance.
  • A few key business related process metrics eg percentage credit notes and days for month end close.


What back office functions are covered by perform!benchmark?
There are currently benchmark modules in Finance & Accounting and Human Resources. Other benchmarking modules are under development.
